I was born and raised in the city of Hong Kong and moved to San Francisco with my lovely daughter when I was in my 20's. I am married to my wonderful husband who is a great photojournalist. We are often apart since he is always far away from home for his work. Sometimes I go with him and we explore the world together.
I love daydreaming, so my mind is always somewhere else and I like to live in my own world. It always takes me to imaginary places to see and to feel my different world, inspiring me to dazzle my canvases with the color of life.
I enjoy listening to different kinds of music and dance to the beautiful songs, it helps me to escape and get away from my daily still life.
I am a self-taught artist, starting in 2006. Most often when I paint, I don't realize that time just slips away behind me quietly, sometimes I even forget to eat all day long! Nevertheless, I desire to soak myself up in the mood of being spontaneous for my painting ideas. I've had art exhibitions with The Emerald Tablet - The Creativity Salon and Live Worms Gallery. Both venues are very cool and popular in historic North Beach, San Francisco, California.
I believe we are all artists inside of our soul in so many different ways. Just looking around, arts and artists are everywhere. It could be the people walk by you on the streets; chefs at the bistros where we enjoy the dishes they create; the posters at the bus stops; murals on the walls in the ghetto; saxophonists play the blues in the shadows of the cold nights on the corners of the streets; gardeners plant the landscapes in the parks; the photos in the magazines taken by photographers; dancers on the stages; mothers' homemade cooking; the ways we tie our ribbons and the ways we sing in our showers; kids do their art projects at schools... If you let me, I can just keep going on and on until all the rivers run dry.
I would like to call myself a wildlife painter, I admire and respect the beauty of the nature and I love the wildlife in the wilderness. I always wonder what the trees are thinking when I walk in the woods and I know every tree has its spirit and also has a story to tell. I wonder what the animals are thinking and what they are longing for in their lives. I think the forest is their home and the sky is their shelter, I believe that they all hope to live happily, safely and peacefully without greed and jealousy.
And now, thank you so much for taking your time to get to know more about me and I hope you enjoy my paintings, which I painted from my heart.
